MFCMAPI and Outlook mailbox functions
MFCMAPI (Microsoft Foundation Classes MAPI) is a comprehensive tool for recovering and repairing personal and server-side folders.
With this no-install tool you can reach or recover Outlook folders and mails that became inaccessible or were lost.
Please sign out of all accounts before running this tool and take a backup.
Download the program from the link below: mfcmapi_bin.exe
Let us walk through an example.
After installation a screen appears showing your mail accounts. Double-click the address whose folder you want to delete to open it.
In the resulting busy screen, on the left you will see a tab named “Root – Mailbox”. Open it as in the screenshot.
Root – Mailbox > IPM_SUBTREE
After seeing this screen you will also see your other folders. Find the folder you want to delete here. Under Property name(s) look for PR_ATTR_HIDDEN / PidTagAttributeHidden / ptagAttrHidden. Double-click it.
There is a checkbox labelled Boolean. Tick it and click OK. After this you can open Outlook and check.
We hope it helps.
