This is an image-backup software that does not require a dedicated server installation and that you can rely on for disaster recovery. In our 30 years of IT industry experience it is the image backup brand we used in the projects that shaped our last 15 years. Even with some shortcomings on socket licensing, we recommend and use it in our projects. We hope Arcserve will give the needed attention and continue the development. It is particularly budget-friendly for companies with fewer than 3-5 servers in their virtualization infrastructure.

After installation reboot the server and start the software. The logon screen appears. After entering username and password, define the backup target below.

Then create backup jobs using the icon in the image below. Our goal here is to back up all disks. Take a full backup on Sundays and hourly incremental backups on other days between 7:00 and 22:00.

In the last image we limit the catalog count to prevent the backups from growing too large.
